“One day all your children will have is pictures of you. Make sure you’re in them. No matter what your hair looks like, your make up or your body, they won’t care about any of that, they’ll just want to see you. Do it for them.” –Unknown
About Me
When I was young I remember my mom taking photos with her Canon AE-1 program film camera. She took my sister and I’s senior photos and other friends photos as well. No flash, no photoshop, just natural lighting, shoot and hand them the film to develop. I remember anxiously waiting for that roll of film to come back and I was always amazed with the photos she took. The photo posted is one she took of me, along with one of her talking to me as a baby (I’m sure dad took that one). I love everything about these photos. The way the light is hitting me and the grass and flowers all around. The natural real moment with my mom and I. I believe I got my love of photography from her. I love looking through the lens and capturing those special moments. To take a moment in time and freeze it. I first got my camera just for my little family but it quickly grew into a business. I love having the honor of being a small part of the lives of others and capturing those precious moments of their lives.
I love the quote at the top of this page. As a mom I know there is always a lot to do to get ready for a photoshoot. Clothes to pick out and buy, hair to worry about for ourselves let alone everyone else. There are always a few pounds to loose. Don’t let that stop you from capturing those moments of your lives. I always appreciate the clients to express their desire to capture their family how they are in that moment of time. Don’t wait to lose a little weight, don’t wait until things slow down, or until your kids are a little older. Capture them NOW and then do it again and again and again! Even if it isn’t a professional photoshoot. Whip out that phone and take a selfie, just make sure you are in the photos too.
